postheadericon Lack of taste somehow tastes good

Lately I've been inspired of many unstylish things, such as rapper Nicki Minaj. Most of the time she looks like an ungly doll, but lately also like a beautiful barbie in different variety of packages.

Nicki Minaj signature perfume bottle Pink Friday actually it looked very nice.

Madonna was from the beginning, and still is often, rated unstylish based on her looks and salacious attitude, but she has influenced strongly on fashion since the 80's. When I first saw Lady Gaga's Poker Face video, it was totally cheap disco music for me, after some months and after other songs I sang along and was admiringly browsing Gaga's special looks in net. In Gaga's gigs girls of all ages in different cities are wearing something gagaish.

Stylish Madonna in the colourful 80's.

I even was about to buy a cute hair bow inspired by Gaga.

After all it might be that those tastless and unstylish are the coolest thing you can imagine just after you get to used to it. For younger generation sucking in influneces comes as natural as chipping Pepsi Max but for us others it is inspiring just after a while and then tastes really sweet.

postheadericon Star Quality/ Tähtipalvelua

Star Quality

Nowadays service in young adults' fashion shops of Helsinki seems to be on totally new level. I was surprised after visiting three shops in couple of days, because every saleswoman was gorgeous in every way I could expect. They do not push or intrude; they are professional, friendly, quick-witted and classy. Maybe it is because of recession, intense competition or tourists’ Euros why efforts has been made in personal selling work, just like in marketing textbooks. Anyway I like that.

It was one of those lovely boutiques where every sales lady was super stylish. I was served by a young woman in blue dress (looking like a super model) and speaking perfectly Finnish, English and Russian, maybe some other languages as well but there was no other clients that time. Her behaviour was smooth and polite, not pretentious at all. Perfect! This type of person I would hire to my business right away if I had one.

I watched lately a TV-program about Michelin stars in restaurants, there one top chef said restaurant to be theatre. One restaurateur in turn told people coming to her hotel and restaurant to live a dream. I think this tells how important good staff is, and how people have to be placed in suitable job. Sales work is not anymore in many shops like it sometimes was, like anyone could have done it on that level. Service occupation is, I believe, about giving what customer expects. Positive, good, sometimes even a peace of a dream. I am inspired.

Tähtipalvelua

Nykyisin palvelu Helsingin nuorten aikuisten vaatekaupoissa vaikuttaa nousseen aivan uusiin sfääreihin.

Ihan inspiroiduin.
